I was participating yesterday into well organized KYKY (ability in English) seminar in TKK. Within a group work we found the following issues regarding to the continuous virtual work development model created within the KYKY initiative in TKK.
Group work 1- what tools?
- traditional tools
- new tools
- do give new opportunities for organisation
- do require changing of meeting and working cultures
- as known wiseness is taught using stories
- working ok interpreting the complex world
- case: a dialogue with a VTT organisation member supports a story about VTT organisation
Group work 2
- a goal is normally set up according to an ideal with motivation, but often the reality shows that it is a strong intension of going back to the old tools
- also flat development without activity nor progress possible , or environment is only used as a database
- blogs do need own motivation and own benefit
- social interaction needed if my grantfather would be writing block, he would be known
- generation gaps - often elder persons active
- no courage to change others writing in wiki due to old habits, democratic working habits
- old cultural working habits are hard, but when new things introduced it is easier
- hierarchy explained refer to picture
Group work 3
- how IT Systems do change?
- working methods and culture do need to change
- working at 10 pm is at the same a threath for somebody and a benefit for somebody
- forcing and rewarding questions
- like travel expenses system
- 70 % of IT Systems do fail, because tiny details of the software are taught and not the processes
- when co-operating, the motor is the differences of team members
- tolerance speaking between small issues interested vs. broadthinkers important
- how affects?
- can prevent documentation working
- double systems
- feeling need to work all the time
- text writing difficult
- broader thinking
- global work possible, 24 hrs possible
- documentation possible
- can do what needed
- saving file memory
- facilitation needed for tools
- dispersed workings like joint working
- new possibilities like handicapped persons
- integrated systems
- management feeling
- information overflow - + & -
